One Million Bibles to Be Distributed Nationwide in Honour of Seyi Tinubu

Abuja, Nigeria — In an unprecedented gesture of faith and philanthropy, one million copies of the Holy Bible are set to be distributed across Nigeria in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The initiative was officially announced during a thanksgiving service held on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja.

The event, which drew hundreds of Christian leaders, youth representatives, and dignitaries from across the country, was organised by friends of Seyi Tinubu and coordinated by Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, the National Chairman of the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN).

According to organisers, the Bible distribution campaign aims to promote spiritual renewal, national unity, and moral revival among Nigerian youths and Christian communities nationwide.

Faith and National Renewal at the Heart of the Initiative

Speaking during the thanksgiving service, Hon. Enwere described the project as a symbolic act of gratitude and a call to rededicate the nation to God. He explained that the decision to honour Seyi Tinubu through the distribution of one million Bibles was not only a recognition of his contributions to youth empowerment and philanthropy but also a statement of faith in Nigeria’s spiritual and moral future.

“This is more than just a gift of books—it is a spiritual investment in the lives of our people,” Enwere said. “We are inspired by the humility and generosity of Barrister Seyi Tinubu, whose passion for youth development and community service continues to touch lives across Nigeria. By distributing one million copies of the Holy Bible, we are sowing seeds of hope, faith, and unity.”

He added that the initiative would begin with major cities such as Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Enugu, Jos, and Kano before extending to rural areas and schools. The campaign, he noted, would be carried out in partnership with church organisations, youth ministries, and regional branches of CAN.

A Celebration of Service and Leadership

The thanksgiving service featured prayers, worship, and tributes from religious and political figures who commended Seyi Tinubu’s quiet but impactful influence among young Nigerians.

Bishop Stephen Adegbite, who delivered the keynote sermon, emphasized the need for leaders to use their influence to advance godly values in society. He described the Bible distribution initiative as a timely reminder of the power of God’s Word in transforming individuals and communities.

“In a time when many are losing faith in moral leadership, this act reminds us that righteousness exalts a nation,” Bishop Adegbite said. “May this gesture ignite a new wave of faith and national renewal among our people.”

He also called on Nigerian youths to emulate Seyi Tinubu’s sense of purpose, discipline, and compassion. “Our young people must rise above cynicism and self-doubt. They must see themselves as agents of change, inspired by the Word of God and committed to building a better Nigeria,” he urged.

Reaching the Grassroots: Plans for Distribution

Organisers disclosed that the distribution will be conducted in phases, with the first batch of 250,000 copies expected to reach beneficiaries by December 2025. The remaining copies will be distributed through churches, missionary groups, schools, and prisons throughout 2026.

Each Bible copy will carry an inscription dedicating the initiative to “the glory of God and in honour of Barrister Seyi Tinubu.”

Rev. (Dr.) Joseph Hayab, a senior member of the Christian Association of Nigeria, said the move reflects the importance of spiritual investment in nation-building. “It is one thing to build roads and bridges, but it is another to build souls. Nigeria needs moral reconstruction as much as physical development,” Hayab remarked.

He added that the church would work with YOWICAN to ensure transparency and equitable distribution across denominations. “This is not about one church or one denomination. This is about spreading the Word of God to every corner of the nation,” he said.

Seyi Tinubu’s Growing Influence in Philanthropy

Though not directly involved in organising the initiative, Seyi Tinubu has long been recognised for his support of youth empowerment, education, and community outreach.

As an entrepreneur and founder of Noella Foundation, he has sponsored several humanitarian projects, including scholarship programs, sports development, and social entrepreneurship initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and crime among Nigerian youths.

Close associates describe him as a man deeply committed to promoting peace, unity, and service.

“He is someone who believes in building people, not just institutions,” said Hon. Enwere. “We wanted to honour him in a way that reflects his values—faith, service, and love for humanity.”

National Leaders Applaud the Move

Political leaders and faith-based organisations have commended the initiative as a unique model of faith-based philanthropy that could inspire similar efforts across Africa.

Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, who sent goodwill messages to the organisers, described the project as “a noble cause that strengthens the moral foundations of our nation.”

He said, “The Holy Bible is not just a religious text—it is a guide for righteous living and good governance. Distributing one million copies across Nigeria is a profound way of reminding citizens of the values of honesty, compassion, and integrity that our society urgently needs.”

In his remarks, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria, praised the youth-led dimension of the project. “When young people take the initiative to spread the Word of God, they are sowing the seeds of revival that will shape the future of the nation,” he stated.

The Broader Message: Unity Through the Word

Beyond its spiritual significance, the one-million-Bible campaign is also being viewed as a unifying gesture at a time when Nigeria continues to face political, ethnic, and religious divisions.

Organisers say that by distributing the Bibles in all six geopolitical zones, they hope to reinforce the message of national cohesion through shared moral values.

“We believe that the Word of God transcends tribe, region, or politics,” Enwere said. “This campaign is about bringing Nigerians together under one spiritual roof—to remind us that, above all, we are one nation under God.”

He further revealed that several Christian publishers and donors have already pledged support for the printing, logistics, and outreach efforts.

Conclusion

The announcement of the nationwide Bible distribution in honour of Seyi Tinubu marks one of the largest private faith-driven initiatives in Nigeria’s recent history.

While it is rooted in spirituality, the campaign also reflects a growing movement among Nigerian youth leaders to combine faith, service, and social impact.

As preparations for the first phase of distribution get underway, organisers say their ultimate goal is to ensure that every home, school, and community in Nigeria has access to the Holy Bible — a timeless message of hope and redemption.

“This is not just a gift for Christians,” Hon. Enwere concluded during the thanksgiving service. “It is a gift for Nigeria — a reminder that no matter our challenges, God’s Word remains our compass, our comfort, and our strength.”
