The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced September 30, 2026, as the commencement date for the 2026 Batch ‘C’ Orientation Course.
The orientation exercise is expected to mark the beginning of the mandatory three-week orientation programme for prospective corps members mobilised under the 2026 Batch ‘C’ stream.
The NYSC orientation course is a key component of the national service programme, during which corps members undergo physical training, lectures, skills acquisition activities, social and cultural programmes, as well as other activities designed to prepare them for the service year.
Prospective corps members are expected to report to their assigned orientation camps as indicated on their call-up letters.
The NYSC advises prospective corps members to carefully check their mobilisation details and comply with the instructions contained in their call-up documents ahead of the commencement of the exercise.
The orientation course also provides an opportunity for corps members from different parts of Nigeria to interact and participate in activities aimed at promoting national integration and unity.
The 2026 Batch ‘C’ mobilisation exercise comes as the NYSC continues its annual programme of deploying Nigerian graduates to states across the country for the compulsory national service scheme.
During the orientation period, corps members are expected to participate in activities including drills, lectures on national issues, entrepreneurship and skills development programmes, and community-focused initiatives.
The NYSC has consistently warned prospective corps members against falling victim to fraudsters who promise to influence postings or secure preferred locations for a fee.
Corps members are advised to rely on official NYSC communication and their mobilisation documents for accurate information concerning their deployment and orientation arrangements.
With the orientation course scheduled to begin on September 30, 2026, prospective Batch ‘C’ corps members are expected to make the necessary preparations and report to their designated camps as instructed.
